Work Experience Overview

Work experience is defined as: "A placement on an employer‘s premises in which a pupil carries out a particular task or duty, or range of tasks and duties, more or less as would an employee, but with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience." (DfES1997)

The Humber EBP aims to provide Key Stage 4 pupils with a quality assured health and safety checked placement, which gives them the opportunity to achieve their learning objectives.

Around 75 schools and institutions in the Humber sub-region participate in the Work Experience programme. This experience could not take place without the continued support from a range of employers from across the area.
