Employer Engagement
The Leitch Review highlighted the need for employers to be given a strong voice in a demand-led skills system. An improved skills base is vital to delivering more productive and profitable private companies and better performing public services.
Employers want to see more relevant, up-to-date education, with better skills development in young people, through qualifications that produce maximum relevance and value.
To achieve these outcomes a greater level of collaboration amongst education institutions and employers will be required to ensure all young people have a variety of practical workplace experiences.
To support this the Humber EBP provides a single access point for all employer engagement activity for learning providers across the Humber sub-region. Working in partnership with the Local 14-19 Partnerships, Consortium for Learning, Employers and education we aim to achieve a coherent and consistent approach to employer engagement which delivers a high quality work related learning experience for all young people.
